We visited Hangzhou for the first time for our honeymoon, and Sofitel made our stay truly special with a complimentary room upgrade and excellent service. The hotel is conveniently located near West Lake and surrounded by many great spots. Breakfast was quite enjoyable, with a variety of dishes leaning toward Chinese cuisine. As first-time visitors to Hangzhou, we felt very comfortable and well taken care of. We would definitely love to come back again!
Sofitel Hangzhou Westlake offers a perfect location right by West Lake. As an Accor Platinum member, I was upgraded to a Club floor room and enjoyed excellent benefits. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall stay was relaxing and pleasant.
Rooms are of good size and comfortable. However, furnishings and carpets are dated. Location next to Westlake is good. Many restaurants within walking distance. Service is generally good. Most of staff can’t speak English and we had to use Google Translate to communicate. Five stars for an intern we encountered. Her name is Rinu and she went all out to help us when there were issues with our rooms. If not for her, our issue would’ve taken much much longer to resolve.
