Sofitel Inle Lake Myat Min

This is one of my memorable hotel stay. Unique location with impressive Inle lake view especially during sunset. Beautifully designed architecture of the hotel and the room. The room and hotel facilities is a real 5 stars quality. Restaurants are excellent here for both heavy breakfast and intimate dinner. If you stay here, don’t miss the sunset here from the lobby view. I would recommend you to come to this hotel by a boat, it will be memorable experience.

Amazing location and wonderful staff that make the visit extra special! Lake view rooms offer a beautiful view of Inle Lake. The room was beautifully appointed with lovely furnishings and wonderful bathroom with a great bathtub. Two restaurants to choose from and lovely bar by the lake. Grounds are also lovely to wander through and relax. Staff and management were very friendly and welcoming. Security is excellent and the resort is on a very quiet part of the Lake.

Wow! Where to start? This is an amazing hotel in a super location. The hotel is right on Inle Lake (note it takes about 45min to reach from the airport; Sofitel kindly arranged a car for us). We had a suite with view on the lake. The bed was really comfortable, the bathroom beautiful and there was a small living room too, with fruits waiting for us when we checked in. It was just perfect for a nice romantic retreat. The rooms can be quite far from the breakfast but you can call for a little golf car to pick you up (my only wish was to drive it myself!). We had a buffet with traditional Burmese food (Shan noodles were so good!), and there was a dancing show too. Breakfast was very good. The hotel can arrange boat trips to visit Inle Lake (I highly recommend the sunset with the fisherman). All the staff was super friendly and very attentive. I will be back for sure.
