The location was perfect for us as my daughter had an early morning flight the next day. Having already checked in and selected a seat for the flight, we took advantage of the evening baggage drop (for flights the next day before 10am) and made the short walk to the T5 Departures floor.. The early morning rise (before 5am) was not at all stressful, and my daughter was able to go straight to Security. The room itself had an indoor window which was not great and made the room quite dark. The bed was really comfortable, so top marks there. We ate at the Sphere Bar - this menu was brief (especially if you happen to be vegetarian, pescatarian etc) and extraordinarily overpriced for what (quantity and quality) was actually on the plate; the staff, on the other hand, were fantastic, really amenable and professional.
We stayed overnight as a family before heading out on a morning BA flight. The hotel generally is lovely as ever, but our room had some substantial wear and tear, and it is probably approaching time to refresh the rooms a touch. The room was spacious, furnished with taste, and comfortable. Several items were out of order, however, a few needed maintenance, and it’s probably time to change a couple (like outlets or charging at the night stands and the AV panel at the desk is entirely outdated) If the staff weren’t as kind as ever and the food as good as always, the score would have been lower. But the bed was comfortable and the staff/food were good!
The room was spacious with very comfortable beds. We appreciated the upgrade, along with the generous early and late check-out options. The amenities were decent, service was good, and the location was excellent—less than five minutes to T5 with easy airport transfers. The bathroom was also a good size. However, the room felt a bit dated, and our view overlooked a restaurant area. The breakfast was slightly underwhelming, and the bathroom door didn’t shut properly. A welcome drink or snack would have been a nice touch. Overall, a solid choice with a few small drawbacks.
