We expected a high calibre of service & room & were happily surprised when the experience exceeded expectations. The physical plant of the hotel all offered the highest of cleanliness, beauty, & taste - rooms, buildings, gardens, restaurants, lobby, drive/entrance; it really is hard to overstate how fine the public spaces of this hotel are. The staff were always gracious & helpful. The gate & front door staff (with whom we had the most interactions), concierge, wait staff, & front desk were always ready with a greeting & a smile & always ready to help us when we needed it. It may very well be difficult to find a better stay in Marrakech, especially at this price point (yes, we visited & compared to several nearby hotels that also have high standards & reputations).
Mohamed Assas, very good service. He really made my afternoon at the pool pleasurable. He recommended some great items and also was always around when we need more drinks. Very nice and refreshing pool, was an excellent way to spend a hot afternoon.
I’ve been staying at the hotel for a few days now, and I’ve been treated outrageously. I was lying by the pool when a staff member immediately asked me to show proof of payment for the day pass. When I told him I was staying at the hotel and gave my room number, he still looked at me with suspicion. After that, three different employees came to ask for my room number. Then even the manager came over to say that security had reported that I wasn’t a hotel guest. Even after I showed my room key, they still asked if I was actually staying here. My words were constantly questioned, and no one believed me—for absolutely no reason. When I addressed this, he said it was just procedure, even though no one else was treated this way. I find this a truly outrageous and insulting way to treat a hotel guest—completely unworthy of a five-star hotel. It’s definitely not worth the money you pay. Disgraceful. On top of that, we had booked connecting rooms—which was also confirmed over the phone—but in the end, we didn’t get them. Room 461
