Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Ile

The staff at the hotel is welcoming and always helpful. The location is great for walking to the important sites; one way to the Petite France medieval area, another to the Cathedral. It has about a 10-min walk to/from the train station that is safe and scenic. The restaurant at the hotel is indoor/outdoor and the food is very good. My favorite was the Caesar Salad with very crispy chicken. It was so nice to eat dinner outside on the patio, after a busy day. We felt very safe in and around the hotel area. Strasbourg is a happy and relaxed city with lots of history, shopping and cafes.

The hotel is well situated, close to the tram and the city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, and in particular Anna and Alexandra in the restaurant at breakfast time were delightful. Kind, helpful, friendly and extremely professional and patient even under pressure. My thanks to both. My room was a little smaller than I might have wished but was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that because I preferred not to have €100 a day blocked on my card my water was not automatically provided daily. I had to ask each day. It was brought quickly and professionally but it’s a bizarre ‘rule’. The restaurant breakfast was very good, but I thought the lunch and evening menu a little restricted in choice. Overall I’d recommend the hotel, though it’s quite expensive in my view.

Our team has visited this location multiple times for various business meetings, and each experience has been excellent. Celine, our meeting manager, was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the planning process. The team consistently complimented the hotel and spoke highly of the meeting spaces. It was a smooth and enjoyable experience.
