We were treated like vips. Outstanding service. Great room. It was my son’s birthday and they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and a card and little cakes and fruit in our room. The manager rang to check if we were happy with things. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The team went above and beyond to make every aspect of my stay feel seamless, personal, and genuinely luxurious. The room was elegant and thoughtfully appointed, blending heritage charm with modern comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linen crisp, and the attention to detail—from the lighting to the bathroom amenities—was outstanding. What truly sets this hotel apart is the hospitality. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, professional, and sincerely committed to guest satisfaction. It’s rare to feel this well looked after in every interaction, from concierge to housekeeping. Location-wise, it’s perfect. Centrally positioned for meetings, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful—ideal for both business and leisure. I also want to commend the breakfast service. A beautiful spread with high-quality ingredients, excellent coffee, and staff who remember your preferences. A small touch, but it speaks volumes. Sofitel Sydney Wentworth made this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It’s not just about luxury—it’s the way they make you feel welcomed, remembered, and valued. The separate living area, large windows, and plush furnishings create a comfortable and upscale atmosphere, making it feel more like a high-end apartment than a hotel room. Guests with Club Lounge access will appreciate the added level of comfort and exclusivity. The lounge offers a quiet space to unwind with light refreshments, evening canapés, and a solid breakfast spread. The staff in the Club Lounge are attentive and professional, often going out of their way to provide personalized service. However, the hotel does have its downsides. It’s an extremely busy property, often hosting conferences and events, which can make public areas feel crowded. One of the most noticeable drawbacks is the wait time for the lifts. At peak times, especially in the mornings or early evenings, the elevators are slow and often full—something to keep in mind if you’re on a tight schedule. Watch out for “tips” added to your bill automatically. This is Australia and tips should not be required. Despite the hustle and bustle, the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth remains a polished and conveniently located choice for both business and leisure travelers.
