Alessandra was so lovely and a welcoming host. The location is amazing!! Short walk (noting it’s on cobblestones if you are wheeling luggage) or 6 min bus ride from the main train station. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Easy walk to the tourist attractions. The room was spacious for 2 people and really neat and nicely presented. We will definitely stay here again when next in Florence.
Great service, Alessandra was quick to response any questions and inquiries we had. The room was spacious for 2 person, and very clean and organize. The location is nothing short of perfect. Everything is close, you might need to walk 12 minutes from the train station to the room but after that, you will find everything super close to you. If I'm back to Florence, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you Alessandra.
We stayed at this hotel for its great location, and it did not disappoint in that regard. It’s centrally located, within walking distance of major attractions, and check-in was quick and efficient. The room also looked just as advertised in the photos, which was reassuring. However, our stay was far from comfortable. Upon check-in, there was a terrible smell coming from the toilet pipes. While the owner took action after we reported it, the smell never fully went away—it was still there, just reduced. It’s unclear why this issue wasn’t addressed before our arrival, as it made for an unpleasant experience. The biggest issue was the room temperature. Despite having a thermostat and air conditioning, the owner had taken the remote control and personally set the temperature via the radiators. The large windows let in cold air, and the humidity made it even worse inside. During the day, it was actually warmer outside than in our room. When we requested to increase the temperature above 18°C—especially since we were traveling with two kids—the owner ignored our requests, insisting it was a “comfortable” temperature. Instead of allowing us to adjust it ourselves, she hid the controls and turned off the remotes, which felt both inconsiderate and unfriendly. Another odd experience was with the kitchen. The owner repeatedly mentioned that while there was a kitchen, it wasn’t meant for “big cooking.” It’s unclear what she meant, as the available utensils were already limited. It felt like another example of unnecessary restrictions and a lack of hospitality. Overall, while the location was excellent, the service was not. The owner’s unwillingness to accommodate basic comfort needs, especially for families with children, left a negative impression. Would not recommend staying here, especially during colder months.
