I've read a lot of bad reviews and we certainly have not had the same experience. We have loved our stay so far, night two of a four night stay. Reception staff have been lovely. Our bed is very comfortable and the room temperature is lovely and cool despite the 30° temperature outside. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Great location and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were comfortable, and AC worked great. There was a little bit of noise during the night but it’s in a busy neighborhood of Madrid so that was expected—and the convenient location makes up for it anyway. Service was helpful and definitely make us feel welcome on our first trip to Spain.

Old and ugly hotel. The reception area is small and so poorly decorated that it seems like a cheap IBiS( I still have nightmares about 4 vases with dry flowers on the reception tables). Weird layout apparently because it consists of two old buildings separated by garage in the past. The breakfast room is small and ugly. There was construction and workers passing by as I ate. The breakfast is deficient with poor selection. Noisy rooms , I could hear the next door people easily. My room looked at a courtyard and was as cheaply and poorly decorated as the rest of the hotel. The weirdest thing was that the bidet in the bathroom is at the entrance of the shower stall so one has to negotiate the entrance and exit from the stall- so gross. Service was acceptable but couldn’t compensate for the building and food. Close to museums and the Retiro but there many better hotels around with much better value proposition. I payed 846 dollars for 3 nights there. Not worthy at all.
