A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Madrid! Hotel Soho Boutique Opera was a fantastic find during our trip to Madrid. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Neiea at reception, who spoke excellent English and made us feel instantly welcome. Every morning, she was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile — a lovely start to each day. The hotel itself was spotless, with our room cleaned and replenished daily — such a treat to return to after a long day of exploring this beautiful city. Breakfast each morning was a generous continental spread, constantly topped up by two friendly and attentive ladies. There was always plenty of food and drink, and it never felt like anything ran out — a great way to fuel up before heading out. The rooms were a great size, the beds were super comfortable, and the showers were easy to use — all the little comforts that make a big difference. A truly fantastic hotel in a perfect location. Highly recommended!

First time staying at this hotel. It is very close to many shops and historical buildings but is nice and quiet, in a quiet location. Reception area and breakfast area are basic, but welcome is warm and buffet breakfast extensive and excellent. Room was nice with pretty views along narrow and quiet nearby streets.

Well located hotel in the city centre, with huge selection of restaurants, bars, tourist attractions etc. nearby. But because of this it’s not a peaceful stay. If you wish to sleep with the windows open then it’s almost impossible due to street noise. Even with windows closed it’s still noisy. Whether it’s people partying until 4am, or trash collection, vehicles, etc etc. Price of hotel is reasonable. Didn’t have breakfast so I cannot comment. The staff are friendly and speak English. There was an overpowering fragrance smell in the reception, it’s too much. What bad smell are they trying to hide? Similar for the room, strong smell of cleaning chemicals. The room itself was okay, it was small, but bed was comfortable. Shower was almost useless, the temperature control was poor and the water pressure weak. Coffee machine should have been good, I have same one in my apartment, but it didn’t work very well. Wasted the first capsule because it was set up wrong, a teaspoon of coffee was all that came out. Had to adjust the volume and do it again, but something wasn’t working correctly. Taste was not good. Room was very clean throughout. The gym had a good selection of equipment and dumbbells, but being in the basement it’s not very appealing. Especially the smell in the lobby between the stairs/ elevator and the gym. The smell is horrible, probably caused by the drain in the centre of the floor. Overall it was not bad but if I stay again then I will remember to take my earplugs!!
