Quite a nice hotel! Helpful staff ,lovely room ,shower soap and shampoo not perfumed or nasty crap. The breakfast was nicely normal. Great location 💂🏻
We stayed at the Soho Boutique Hotel in Valencia in July and had a pleasant experience overall. This hotel is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable place to stay during a city trip. Location The location is one of the biggest highlights. It’s in a lovely neighborhood, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. The inner city is about 15–20 minutes on foot, and the trendy Ruzafa area (great for cafes and restaurants) is roughly the same distance. We took public transport to the beach, which was easy and took about 30–40 minutes. The bus stop is just around the corner. A taxi to/from the airport took us about 25 minutes. Room Our room was clean and nicely furnished. The view wasn’t anything special, but that didn’t bother us. The room layout was a bit unconventional (not a standard square). We appreciated the king-size bed, which was very comfortable. The AC worked perfectly and quietly, even when running through the night. The baby bed provided was clean and of good quality and came at no extra cost. The bathroom was spacious and had both a tub and a separate shower. Unfortunately, the shower drain was clogged during our stay and couldn’t be fixed, which was a downside. Breakfast Breakfast was okay and got us started for the day. The space is small but functional. Juice is served, and there’s a selection of toast, sweet pastries, cereals, eggs, etc. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the coffee machine, which was more like the big Nespresso ones used in office kitchens - not great in taste or variety (no cappuccino, for example). Overall If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city and just need a comfortable, clean, and well-located hotel to come back to, Soho Boutique is a good value option. If you’re looking for something more luxurious with upscale amenities, you may want to look elsewhere.
Disappointing experience. We stayed at Soho Boutique Turia in Valencia, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. While arriving early and finding the room unready was understandable, we were told to return at 2 PM, only to find at 2:40 PM that it was still not ready. This lack of organization was exacerbated by confused staff who repeatedly asked if we were checking out during our interactions. The first night was uncomfortable due to the inadequate heating and the absence of proper bedding—a duvet was provided, but without a proper cover, which is a basic standard for any hotel. Despite raising this issue the next day, the staff only managed to provide a simple blanket to cover the duvet, failing to fully resolve the problem. The poor acoustic insulation was particularly problematic. Noise from both the street and neighboring rooms was unavoidable, and other guests were disturbingly loud during both nights of our stay, making restful sleep impossible. Adding to this, the curtains did not fully cover the windows, allowing streetlights to shine into the room at night and further disrupting sleep. Another frustration was the hotel’s policy of providing fresh water only upon arrival, despite charging full price for each night. This makes little sense and detracts from the guest experience. The parking situation was equally disappointing. Although there is a designated space for loading and unloading luggage near the entrance, another couple was allowed to leave their car there until their noon checkout. This decision inconvenienced us greatly, especially as I am in the third trimester of pregnancy. The staff seemed reluctant to address this issue, leaving us to manage without proper assistance. At this price point, we expected much better service and at least a restful stay. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to deliver on both counts. I would recommend looking for other accommodations that prioritize guest comfort and service quality.
