Beautiful hotel. The room was nice, clean, and well designed. Bed was very comfortable. Very luxurious hotel and still affordable. The ladies at the reception were really nice and accommodating. Asked for ice, and they were able to give us ice. Unfortunately, they weren't able to lend us a bottle opener for our beers, and they told us that there should be one in our room, which there was not. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassle free. Lots of free and paid parking in and around the area. Location-wise is not good. We felt unsafe walking around at night to get food and drinks.

Recently we hosted a birthday event at Soho, Honestly, everything was just amazing! The setup was beautiful, the food was a big hit with all the guests, and the overall vibe was just perfect. A huge shoutout to all of Soho staff especially Eve and Rohan, who were super helpful and supportive throughout. They made sure everything ran smoothly, kept us updated, and really took care of all the guests. Soho has a great team! And a super thanks to Monique, from the time we booked the venue to the event day, Monique made everything so simple and easy for us. We really appreciate all the help and support we got. Thanks again for making our event so special., we’ll always remember it!

Whilst the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel from first impressions is modern and beautifully appointed, there are areas of concern. Hallway carpets are a trip hazard. Our room 228 on the second floor was extremely large and well appointed, yet lacking and actually quite unsafe if you are unsteady on your feet. Whilst the veneer flooring in the bedroom and lounge areas is attractive, and the marble floor tiles in the bathroom elegant, both surfaces are EXTREMELY slippery underfoot and I can see a very high risk of injury should someone fall onto these hard surfaces. Rugs need a shampoo. Our room was very, VERY large, with two balconies (balcony decking was uneven). We had floor to ceiling windows on two walls and electric window blinds to cover (or not cover as the case was) these - there were no curtains atall in the room. Some of the plastering at ground level was unfinished. Unfortunately, two of the large windows weren't covered completely by the blinds. We lay in bed all night watching the traffic go past as the blinds stopped within about 30cm of closed. The view also overlooked a lumber yard which left us feeling 'watched' in our room so privacy is a massive issue for this room and needs attention. There was a lovely chaise lounge in the sitting area which had a few suspicious stains on it. We enjoy watching a movie from our bed at home, unfortunately the TV is mounted at right angles to the bed on a side wall and the mounting bracket does not rotate. Bathroom, it's massive with a large bathtub, separate large shower with two shower heads, large vanity with single basin, toilet, mirror with surround lighting and deluxe toiletries available by pump bottles to include hand and body wash, shampoo, separate conditioner and body lotion. The bathroom does not have any heating source and does get cool if the door is kept closed. A very small bathmat is provided however the floor and the shower are both incredibly slippery. Where the power outlet sits against the wallboard in the bathroom, the hole is cut too large and there is a small gap... little finishing touches that aren't quite right, but do require attention to lift this hotel into the next level of luxury. Coffee and tea making facilities are in the room along with long life milk in the bar fridge. We requested some fat free milk but when this was delivered to our room, it was regular whole milk. We went down to the Tiger Restaurant to exchange and was told they don't have skim/trim milk. This was the same at breakfast, no trim/skim milk. We ate dinner in the Tiger Restaurant. The wait staff and chefs are very friendly and accommodating. The highlight of my stay was the delicious Korean Fried Cauliflower. A decent portion for $22- and was absolutely SUPERB! The chicken main I had was less impressive as was the chef's platter - though the flavours were great (especially the sauces), the proteins were most certainly cheaper cuts which was disappointing. We had a side order of slaw, it was delicious also. Overall, the chefs did a great job making the most of what they had been supplied with. Breakfast, we opted for the Continental Breakfast buffet. A few options available, standard fayre, nothing fancy. I had to ask three times for gluten free toast. The buffet food was luke warm even though they were presented in bain maries. Would we stay here again? Yes. The hotel is modern, staff are friendly. We would NOT stay in this room again, I should not feel 'watched' in my room and also am very concerned about the slippery floors. Beds are very comfortable and linens are all fresh and of high quality, towels could be a little more luxurious to meet the rest of the hotel standards, but are adequate. Slippers and bathrobes are available. As far as the Tiger Restaurant goes, we hope this review makes it to the requisitions team so quality of cuts of meat improves. Should we be served the same mains again, I would likely return mine as the standard isn't quite as expected in this higher end facility. Nice hotel with potential ...
