A very nice hotel on the far edge of the playa. It’s located in a quieter area as opposed to the more central beach but just across from several fine beach clubs and restaurants. The hotel itself was simple yet tasteful with a very friendly vibe. We had breakfast overlooking the beach which was included and also lovely. One note, parking in the hotel garage was convenient but a bit on the expensive side at €22 a night. A little steep I thought for a small town but in mid July and August the street parking spots are few. Overall it is a perfect place to stay if you are looking to get away from the tacky mega hotels along the coast. Would definitely recommend for a little beach relaxation after exploring the charms of Andalusia.
Have been coming to this hotel for many years because of its location and the hospitality of the staff who are second to none, some of whom have been here for 20 years. Sadly though, it's amenities have been decreasing over time. From desperate upgrades required in the rooms to the reduction in quality of breakfast offerings. Meliá, cost cutting in a 4* hotel should not happen like this! Beware, this hotel is ripe for a takeover by a more progressive group in tune with 21st century needs of today's traveller, or is that your intention?
Great location. Unfortunately, service and equipment is not at the expected level for a 4* hotel (part of Melia group): 1, I dropped my wife in front of the hotel with 2 big luggages, and she had to carry them on top of the stairs while 2 staffs at the reception had seen her and continued to discuss together. 2. We arrived at breakfast at 9:30 (as we usually do), but we were stopped (pretty rudely) when entering the room, and had to wait 10-15 min outside because there was a group eating breakfast (no other guests could access the breakfast room). When groups stay in hotel, and the dining room capacity is too small, you at least inform other guests ahead of time. We would have adjusted our planning accordingly 3. We booked a superior room, facing the beach. Except the small terrace, the room was not at expected standard (including bathroom). TV position very weird, and no international chanel. 4, We could easily park our car in the street nearby. Pretty surprising to ear that their private underground parking is still at €22 per day 5. Pool on the roof is not attractive. Long line of buildings just next to the pool, with terraces overlooking the pool On the positive side: good breakfast, and nice receptionnist (young guy) who gave us good recommendations about restaurants nearby
