Couldn't fault anything about our experience in the Mare hotel. We had a quiet room facing the front of the hotel. There was plenty of variety of food in the restaurant and snack bars around the complex. We really enjoyed the Italian restaurant. The beach is lovely and the sea safe. The pools are all of great size and depths for children. Entertainment was ok for the younger children but after that we liked sitting on the veranda in the Mare having a drink. The was tapas and sushi were later evening snacks. There was bumper boats rides go karts bouncy castle and pottery painting, candy gloss popcorn stands all at a small extra price. Plenty on offer. We were a family of 11 ranging from 4 to 64 and we all had a fabulous time on this complex
We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday with our children (2.5 and 5 years old). The entire resort is beautifully clean, and it’s impossible to come across any litter, as trash bins are constantly emptied and the staff ensures everything looks just as it should. The resort is large and offers several dry playgrounds, multiple pools, waterslides (though it was unfortunate that we weren’t allowed to go down the slides—even the children’s ones—with our kids. Our 5-year-old son wanted to try them, but for the first time he wished to slide together with me), a paddling pool, and more. There are also plenty of trees throughout the grounds, so everyone can easily find a spot in the sun or in the shade, depending on their preference. Also worth mentioning is the indoor playroom. Although it’s small, it’s perfectly sufficient for escaping the hottest part of the day and letting the kids blow off some steam for a while. The sea, apart from one windier day with some waves, was crystal clear with visibility all the way to the bottom. The entrance to the water is very gradual, making it ideal for younger children who can still stand and search for seashells in the shallow water as souvenirs. The beach was wonderfully clean, and aside from seaweed, I didn’t see any litter.
The hotel is large, but the rooms are quite small. The balcony furniture is uncomfortable, and the WiFi doesn’t work at all. The food is mediocre, but the water slides for children are beautiful, fun, and safe. There are plenty of activities for kids, with entertainment throughout the day and different shows every evening. The resort actually consists of 3 hotels sharing one big common yard, but many things there have to be paid for separately: popcorn, toy cars for children, and other small attractions — all at an extra cost, even though it’s supposed to be all-inclusive.
