Sol Palmanova Mallorca

On our last night of our week stay here. We’ve generally had a really lovely experience. Food is pretty decent, good drink options, brilliant entertainment throughout the day and at night. Our rooms were cleaned effectively daily, and only saw one cockroach in the lobby but that didn’t bother us. Fantastic location, beach and lovely restaurants within walking distance, and we got a short bus ride to a water park. We had to wake up early to secure a sun bed but that’s to be expected. We came as a couple, but it was definitely very family orientated and lots of children/children’s entertainment. Only negatives would be that the rooms didn’t have actual double beds, just 2 singles put together and the AC in the room was quite noisy and not that strong. Really enjoyed our stay overall and would happily come back!

Rooms were okay, however very small to be able to call it a family room. Food is repetitive and unless you love fishy meals there is not lots of options. The fight for a sunbed is such a nightmare my family had to wake up at 3 am just to be able to have a sunbed which quite frankly is ridiculous baring in mind the hotel says reserving sunbeds is not allowed. I will admit staff are very friendly and helpful and too be honest the location is ideal your next to a lot of shops and beaches.

Room was fine , even though it was described to us as a room with a double bed when in reality it was 2 single beds pushed together but that was fine. The staff were awful, rude, unhelpful and just unbothered. I paid a good amount of money for all inclusive for 8 nights. I had to pay for bottles of water, I was asked to pay for towels. One night the safe in our room broke and we couldn’t get it open as it showed an error message. When we called reception I was told there’s nothing they could do as “ there is only 1 technician for 600 rooms.” So I went reception in person and went to a different staff member, they were then able to very easily open my safe for me so it was just pure laziness from the first employee. Then 2 days before our checkout I asked if it would be possible to get late checkout as our flight wasn’t until later, I was told yes no problem I just had to pay €40. That was no problem , the night before I confirmed that we were able to get late checkout and the staff said yes just come at 9am and pay the fee and that will be fine. I came at 9am and was told to come back at 10, then I was told to come back at half 10, and then finally I was told that late checkout was no longer an option so we had to leave in an hour. One morning a cleaner came into our room while we were sleeping and opened our curtains. Hairdryer in room didn’t work and was told there was nothing they could do. Shame the staff were so useless because the hotel and location is nice .
