Sol Río De Luna y Mares

Our room was always clean and we always had 2 small bottles of water per day in our fridge. The service through our 7 days was very good and that, from everybody we saw on the resort. The staff was always smiling and very kind to us. The food was good... Sometimes, we didn't had too many choices/options, but we always found a way to have our plate/belly full and that, all week long. I even met the doctor, and it went very well. I had been bitten by a bug, and my hand was swelling... had treatments and felt better fast. A comment... go right away, don't hesitate... I had a good experience, and I'm glad I went. I was able to enjoy the end of my trip because of that. The snorkeling for us was one of the main goals of that trip, and we were happy we made the move to choose Sol Rio... straight from the beach resort and directly with tropical fishes, under 5 minutes... it was amazing! In general, this place is great... big plus for the easy access snorkeling. +++

Good place for relax I have been to Holguin many times, staying at many different resorts. And this is the first time at Luna Mares I must say it is great. The isolated location at the end of the road is very suitable for relaxation or going in groups. The long and clean beach is the highlight of the resort. The staff is cheerful and friendly (in special Amelia Pena - she has a great smile and she speaks English very well- able to give you any information about reservations to good restaurants). If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again.

Older but nice hotel, well maintained, nice rooms with upgraded bathrooms, tasty food Cuban food in all available restaurants. Limited selection of drinks, excellent coffee at the lobby coffee bar. Not so flashy entertainment. Nice beach, with excellent snorkeling spots. Definitely à great vacation for very reasonable price.
