Such a beautiful rustic hotel, furnished with antiques and the friendliest hosts imaginable
I 100% recommend Solar the Chacim. The place is beautiful. It's a restored Portuguese style country house with high ceilings, old furniture and family pictures. Looks like you're stepping back in time except it's really comfortable and cozy. There is a fireplace for the cold days and a swiming pool for the summer days. Very important, it's quiet, you'll get a great night's sleep. The surroundings are lovely, from the backyard you can see the hills around as well as the village. You'll enjoy an authentic Portuguese experience. And I can't speak highly enough of João and Mafalda, the owners; they are friendly, kind and helpful. They went above and beyond during my stay. Also, Mafalda is a great cook!
