Solar dos Mouros

We had a lovely stay at Solar Dos Mouros when in Lisbon. The hotel is located in Alfama near the castle, close enough to walk to most sights in Lisbon but also far enough removed from the busier tourist areas (that have more of a Times Square vibe) that it’s quiet and feels very authentic. The viewsfrom the terrace and rooms are spectacular. The rooms are comfortable, modern and clean. The biggest selling point, aside from the beautiful view, is the service. Not only is Rio and Francois at the front desk attentive and kind, so is the waitstaff at the terrace. During our stay we felt well taken care of, like we had been long time guests of the hotel. We recommend Solar Dos Mouros highly for these reasons and would stay again our next time in Lisbon!

A great hotel in a brilliant location. The staff were excellent and always friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Room was large, comfortable and the breakfast was very good with views over the rooftops towards the bridge and statue of Christ from the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is located super close to everything! The room came with complimentary wine and fruits! The room has amazing sunrise and sunset views! If I could give an additional star for customer service, I would! Francois and Bruno were so kind and so helpful! We had an early morning flight on our last day and they arranged an early breakfast for us at 4 in the morning so that we were able to eat before we left! They also helped carry our luggage into and out of our rooms! Definitely the best customer service we've ever had at a hotel! Hope to visit again soon!
