If location is everything, then Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Busan is already halfway to being a five-star paradise. Nestled right in the heart of Seomyeon, it’s surrounded by more restaurants and shops than you could possibly tackle in one trip—though we certainly tried. The Seomyeon metro station is just a short stroll away, and you can even wander underground through the Seomyeon underground mall if you’re trying to dodge the rain or simply want to feel like a well-dressed mole. We booked the family twin sharing room, which came with a bathroom so spacious we briefly considered subletting it on Airbnb. The catch? Showering became a family event—by which I mean we had to schedule time slots like we were back in uni dorms. At one point I asked my kid if she was brushing her teeth or just stalling for her shower appointment. Now, laundry. There’s no laundry room in the hotel, but fear not! Just a stone’s throw away (a gentle toss, really) is Eco Laundrette, where you can cleanse your travel-worn clothes while contemplating how much luggage you actually needed for a 7-day trip. Perfect for families who, like us, packed everything except the kitchen sink—and then discovered they needed to wash it all. But the crown jewel of this stay? The bath house on B1. For a modest KRW 9,000, you get access to a spa-like oasis where you can soak away your stress—assuming you’re comfortable being stark naked with strangers. This isn’t a swimsuit affair; it’s full-on birthday suit bonding time. My first visit was a spiritual journey. I walked in a man and walked out… still a man, but one with cleaner pores and a deeper understanding of male vulnerability. In short: great location, solid amenities, accidental nudity. Would I stay again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m bringing a laundry schedule and emotional support towel.
fairly close to the subway with the 1 and 2 line, +fair price +plenty of food places just around the corners, +comfortable beds, +Large mirror +great AC that made me sleep in a bit more than planned. +Bathroom floor large enough to lay down on after making a large amount of soju disappear. +good pressure in the shower and the soap/shampoo/conditioner smells fairly nice. +wowpass chargingstation on the reception floor. +Gym available for free +wifi with ok speeds -The mini-fridge is not silent.
Hotel is in a good location in Seomyeon very convenient to take buses to Busan station. The staff are helpful and attentive. Each time we had a query or question they would attend in person to the room to discuss the issue. The hotel does not currently have AC and the rooms can get quite stuffy and hot. We were provided with a fan which was sufficient and the windows do open quite wide. Rooms are quite small and the rooms differ as some rooms have older and smaller sized TVs and less space. The hotel has sauna and gym facilities which we did not manage to use.
