Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima

Service is great, staff are helpful. The volcano view is stunning, but it’s a pity that the weather was not very good. The location is exceptional, opposite to JR station, there are restaurants in the same building. The room is small and the price is not cheap, but after all it has the view. The bathroom and toilet are clean and spacious enough. Every utility works well. They provide new towels every day. You can store the luggage after checkout. Reception 24/7 open. It was a great hospitality experience!

Very convenient to train station, trams, airport bus, AMU Plaza Mall, AEON grocery store. All connected underground. Restaurants - mini Yatai village in the basement. Definitely get the Sakurajima view rooms - such a pleasure to open the curtain, view the rising sun, and Sakurajima! Staff very pleasant. Washer and dryers very helpful.

I dislike that they do not have drop-off area and the closest parking is automatic parking, meaning that I had to get the bags out of the car and park into the elevator rapidly. It’s just too hectic. Apart from that I had to carry all my big luggages on footpath while raining. Very unimpressed first experience. The hotel doesn’t have either early check-in or lounge where I can eat my bento while waiting. The male staff looked so stressed, I have no idea why. Lastly, The elevator, corridor, and room smelled strange ,similar to what some guests reviewed. This is quite not logical because the lobby smelled good. They should use the same fragrance on every floor, especially elevators. On the other hand, the hotel is very close to train station. I think business trip with small luggage is more suitable for this place. View is great. You can see volcano from the window.
