Solo Sokos Hotel Turun Seurahuone

We are certainly happy that we chose to stay here. We rented a room with a king bed, which I recommend. The twin or basic rooms feel too small (about 180 square feet), the king is palatial by comparison. The bathroom is superior. The breakfast is also superior, quite a nice variety, and comfortable seating. The hotel restaurant and lounge feature some interesting semi private nooks. The hotel is located downtown, just a short walk to the central market. Highly recommended.

Truly a five star rating from us! We had a family room, for two adults and two children (between the ages of 10 and 14) and the room was truly brilliant. Plenty of room for everyone, lots of cupboard space and an excellent bathroom with both a bath tub and a wonderful "rainfall shower" type shower. The staff were all, without fail, incredible. Very polite, very professional and helpful at every turn. The breakfast was a real treat. It wasn't the biggest selection ever but the quality more than made up for that. Location is its shining star. Far enough from the heart of the city to be quiet but close enough to make the walk through the shopping area very easy. As of writing (June 2025) it's also ideally located for all of the main bus routes.

At this price point you expect air conditioning to work. Our 7th floor room was cozy and quiet but room temperature definitely was not 20 (minimum temp you were able to set). The staff was excellent and breakfast was good with a good quality selection of items. Parking was fine as there are many parking garages nearby.
