Soluxe Hotel Urumqi

Great hotel, good staff and facilities are wonderful. Couple notes though: speak slow and clear English when communicating. The English level needs improvement. One lady thought I wanted to change money when I was paying the bill in RMB and told me NO NO. Her manager stepped in to help.

Check the Sheraton website, this hotel doesn’t exist in the list! It’s a FAKE SHERATON with terrible service!!! The receptionist NEVER say : “Hello” and “Thank you”. I booked 3 different type of room, so have 3 different type of reservation number, and the receptionist said: “Too annoying, I have to type a lot!" ( WTH? You are a receptionist, that's your resposability right??? ) The hairdryer was melted already when I took it out, I ask the room service give me a new one (because it seems not safe) and they said: “It’s no problem, it doesn’t bother to use” and continue ask me to use the melted hairdryer.... I stayed here for 2 night, when I get back to the hotel, I found out that the housekeeper have used my shower gel. ( That is the most disgusting thing I have never seen before.) The facility is too old - The air conditionner is broken but use a scotch to tape up. The drawer was too old that can not close. The chair in the restaurant was broken, but didn't take off or replace.

A not so Sheraton experience hotel. Our first room has watermarks on the screen. Common area one of the ceiling has a hole. Breakfast though buffet, sitting is free form. Even if u sit down on a table, people can join u without asking. Avoid at all cost.
