I had a day long layover in Dubai. Rather than mull around the airport, I decided to go out into Dubai. American citizens enjoy an automatic visa uponBs entrance to the country which made it easy to explore. Checked in to Somewhere and the low rate caught my attention. For around US$80, I checked into a room twice the size one would expect in the U.S.. The hotel was clean, had a nice pool, and my room had a full kitchen. Great value.
Great location right next to the metro - very convenient for airport trips. Good restaurant right downstairs and they do room service too. The rooms are very nice except for a few minor problems with the lights not working in the bathroom. If we stayed for a couple of nights I'm sure they would have fixed it but we were only there one night. Very expensive for a night, but I'm sure those were NYE prices! Very friendly and helpful staff!
Rooms require a thorough upgrade. Too much maintenance is required to keep them going. Not modern, cleanliness is 3/10
