Son de Mar

Our recent stay at Hotel Son de Mar was truly relaxing and comfortable. Rooms and the overall facility were super clean, new and elegantly decorated. Both the food and service at the restaurant were great. We also enjoyed the SPA area and the reception happily managed to arrange a last minute massage slot for me. San Ciprianu beach is just one minute walk from the hotel and other nice beaches such as Pinarellu, Tamariccu etc are easily accessible by car. There is a large parking area in front of the building. The hotel also provides beach towels and umbrella which was very convenient. In short, everything at the hotel had a very pleasent taste and feel in addition to extremely helpful staff. Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable!

I have stayed around a week earlier this summer (in July) at Son De Mar hotel & spa. The hotel is beautifully designed and the team are the friendliest. They are professional and kind and they always go the extra mile. This was remarkable! From the front desk (namely Laurine and Agathe) who were very helpful in researching (two pages) boat tours and providing all necessary details in addition to accommodating to our request to leave the luggage in the storage for us and our friends (who were not staying at the hotel and needed to store the luggage for few hours before heading to airport). Thanks also goes to housekeeping team, restaurant team (who accepted to serve us dinner - although we came late). I highly recommend this hotel and congratulate the management on this wonderful team. I will be back.

Extremely unfriendly, small and not for families with kids! We stayed in 8 different hotels on the island and this one is the worse, even more I've never saw such a poor service in my life! 1. Blond woman at reception is just terrible, rude and totally doesn't understand how to communicate with guests. Please quit her. 2. We stayed for one week and THREE days our room wasn't cleaned. I called to ask why to reception: been blamed it's my own fault, because at 16:00 my child sleeps at noon, so I put a sign Don't disturb. That's why they didn't come to clean our room. And to tell me about it? And to come at another time? Find some solution? 3. There is a pool, but only for adults. They should mention the hotel is adults only, because there is NOTHING for children. 4. Sea view from the room (we had their best room) is the view on the parking. 5. Breakfast is very small and poor, nobody came to clean the table and tiny slices of watermelon tasted like few days old. 6. Day before last one, our dirty towels they just folded and put them back as "clean". Why hotel doesn't know about the rule "laying on the floor towels are dirty towels"? 7. There is no private beach, you need to walk 100 meters or so to the public beach without sunbeds or umbrellas. I know on Corsica it's not allowed for a hotel to have it private, but please check with other places how did they manage to make it comfortable for their guests! The only one good thing about this place is the chef of the restaurant and waiter we had during dinner. That's all! I wish hotel to learn more about SERVICE, perhaps the owners should go and visit hotels as: Lagnonu, Don Cesar, Misincu or Casa Paradisu! I honestly don't know why this hotel has such a high rate, but if you have children please don't go there! And don't believe these nicely made pictures.
