Slightly disappointed in our stay. There are only about 4 total lockers available, and all were taken before our 9am arrival. There is only a water cooler available before you get to check in. There is an "essentials" room with nothing but tea. When we did check in there were no towels, someone's mouth guard on the table, and the toilets do not properly flush. We were lucky with beautiful London weather(20+°) but it made the room unbearably hot and no ventilation. We were able to get towels and a small fan dropped off in the room but nothing said about the clean state we arrived to.
As a Marriott Bonvoy Member with Platinum Status, I was excited to stay at this Sonder. But this experience was simply awful from the beginning. We arrived to find trash bags in the hallway and no lockers to store our bags in. They simply didn’t exist - just a sign that read “lockers” with nothing beneath or beside them. Our room was unbearably hot to the point that our toiletries melted. Because we had to keep the windows open, mosquitos and bugs came into our room all night. Furthermore, the TV in our room didn’t work and the fire alarm went off at 1:30 a.m. What was supposed to be a three night stay became a one night stay as we moved to a Marriott because the Sonder Vauxhall was simply unbearable. I am awaiting my promised refund. Simply put, don’t stay here.
This is place is advertised as a hotel but it is definitely not. It was unbearably hot (26 C outside and 32 C in the hotel room). I could not open the windows so the air is crazy hot and crazy stale. There is no staff, zero amenities and it cost a fortune. Its basically a hostel for 270 quid a night. Hard pass on staying here again and I cannot believe its a Marriott property. What a swindle!
