Sonesta Columbus Downtown

I just checked into the Sonesta Downtown Columbus and I am already so impressed! From the moment I arrived, the service has been outstanding. Two front desk employees assisted me during check-in, and the entire process was quick, easy, and completely painless. One of the team members, I believe his name was Martin, stood out with his warm and personable approach. He let me know he’d be available if I had any questions and even took a moment to talk about the safety of the area, which really helped ease my mind as a solo traveler. They also have a text message service, which has made everything so pleasant and convenient—I’ve already used it a few times and each interaction has been helpful and kind. My room is spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything was clearly explained to me at check-in, including how to request housekeeping or order food. So far, this has been such a smooth and welcoming stay—I’m looking forward to the rest of my time here!

This location is in great location for downtown Columbus. An easy walk to Nationwide arena,and less than a mile to the North Arts district. That gives you access to a lot of great food options. Onsite parking was easy. Staff were great. There is a really nice bar onsite that is perfect for a nightcap before heading up to the room. For the weekend we were in town, the price was better than several other downtown hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

I travel for work and this hotel has, without a doubt, some of the nicesy and tidiest rooms in our system. It is a lovely and comfortable place to lay your head. My issue is primarily with the hotel bar. I ordered my first drink and was provided a set discount that is provided to my company. I ordered a second drink and the manager refused to approve the discount due to a new policy. I asked if the policy had changed since the last drink I received 20 minutes prior and she rolled her eyes.
