Sonesta Milwaukee West Wauwatosa

Real close to the Zoo, not far from the State Fair. Rooms were decent looking and beds comfy. Maybe only complaint would be our room was a tad warm, even with the air cranked. Place is in good shape, nice, food and bar on premises.

This hotel was okay, but very dated, thus my 3-star rating. Corporate really needs to create a plan to update all rooms, including furniture, carpet & bathrooms. However, the housekeeping manager, Shannon, was such a blessing to our family & made our stay better. I can’t say enough kind words to describe her hospitality. My guess is that she supervises a small housekeeping staff but makes the best of the situation. (There are 7 floors.). She went out of her way to be accommodating, making certain we had plenty of clean towels, amenities and even walking my elderly aunt to our room as I was leaving yesterday. In my opinion, Shannon should be given Employee of the Month/Week.

Arrived at 342 pm to check in to a kitchen no suite on Saturday July 26th and was told the room was not completely clean yet. At 4 was informed the room was ready. Usually, I go out n and inspect the room but I went in dropped my things and went to a party. Later around 1030 I came back and went right to the bathroom and right away noticed something disgusting on the towel on the shelf. It was clearly poop. So the house keeper clearly did not clean the room and change the unused towels from the previous guests. Normally, I would make a scene. I went downstairs and informed the guy behind the desk and he did come up when he was not busy to get it clean because he was by himself and bring us clean towels. But we should’ve got a new room but the hotel was booked. They gave me a $50 refund and this is not enough compensation for the this disgusting experience. I could’ve went off and went crazy but I kept it classy and professional. I also have a picture.
