Sonnekus Boutique Hotel & Bistro

I had the opportunity of spending a night here for a very special women’s retreat and it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had! Still dreaming of the cozy fire place chats, the insanely comfy bed, my hot water bottles in my room, the DELICIOUS cookies and meals cooked by the chef and the absolutely phenomenal service provided to us by Nonno! I cannot wait for my next stay! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unplug surrounded by mountains and seaside!

The most amazing boutique hotel with gorgeous interior! We received a warm welcome from Blessed and Emma as we acquired a last-minute walk-in overnight stay with our doggy. They did not hesitate to help us! Rooms are clean, beautiful and just across the road is the beach. We will most definitely be back - we might try the sister hotel this time (Die Stoep). We took the off season opportunity to stay a night for our anniversary. The location of course is lovely and some nice touches in the rooms like French press coffee, beach towels and a cool box. The beautiful area view unfortunately comes with the downside of high traffic noise- double glazing would be vital. The bathroom needs a good revamp and there was only hot water for one of us. Communication could also be improved with written confirmation of what was included/ excluded eg cookies and rusks and times of availability/ access to service.
