Absolutely loved my experience at the Sonnenalp Vail! Will definitely stay again at my next visit. This hotel is very clean, has amazing service, and the design has so much character! Beautiful hotel. The library loving room bar is a fun environment. The pool area looks exotic with tons of trees and it overlooks a creek. It’s a 2 minute walk to the center of vail village and the farmers market is right next to it. Highly recommend.
This is a real special property in Vail. Feels like a lodge in Bavaria. The staff is friendly and efficient. Had small issue with a bathroom drain and was immediately addressed. Rooms are spotless and very spacious. Totally recommend!
The hotel service was sporadic at best for the entirety of my two-night stay. From an unwelcome reception upon check-in, to an equally unfriendly check-out, Sonnenalp Vail left me feeling underwhelmed with no desire to return. The room as are outdated and by no means exude luxury. The spa is no better. The only positive attribute to this hotel is it's location. If you're looking for 4+ star accommodations (spa, room, service, etc), don't waste your time with Sonnenalp and stay at Four Seasons.
