Great location for ski in/out in Oberlech. 5* rooms and facilities. Our room had a nice terrace. Excellent food. While the staff was friendly, the front desk kept on making mistakes including not probably shipping our skis back home.

We stopped here a couple of times for lunch during our recent ski trip. The hotel is located just off the run for easy access and has delicious food. However it can get crowded so you'll need to make sure you have some time set aside for the meal. The second time I stopped by we were trying to grab a quick drink while trying to complete the Run of Fame but had to leave without ordering as we couldn't find our waiter and it was just too busy. However we had a wonderful lunch on the first visit this trip and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There is plenty of outdoor seating with great views of the area. We tried their charcuterie plate (see pic) and ended up order more for the table as it was so good. I had their salad with bacon as we'd been eating heavy most of the trip and I was ready for something lighter. The salad was fresh and delicious and the local bacon/ham added a nice bit of salty goodness. Overall this is one of our favorite lunch spots and some of the group is likely to come back and stay here with spouses as this is a really nice area with fine dining and a bit quieter than St. Anton.

I've travelled to Oberlech many times, and was excited to try out a new place. This hotel is apparently 5 star luxury, but it certainly didn't seem that way. The room was very outdated and lacked basic things such as tea, coffee and a kettle. Most of us also had broken showers. The service was disappointing. The receptionists seemed annoyed any time we interacted with them and didn't seem to want to help us with anything. At every single meal we ate, our orders were messed up. The waitstaff seemed unwilling to take responsibility and often tried to give us the wrong dishes anyway, over and over again. It became somewhat of a joke near the end of the trip, like how many wrong orders are we going to get at breakfast today. Every morning we would order the same black coffee, half the time it never came or we'd have to ask again. The ski room was incredibly outdated compared to other ones I've seen in the alps. Barely enough room to sit, tiny lockers that had no doors, and just no space at all, making for a hectic start to the day. The only things I enjoyed about this hotel was the location and the wellness area. I don't know how this is a 5 star hotel, but I think this place needs to have its stars updated. If you're planning a trip to Oberlech, stay at the Cresta instead!
