Soundless Resort

Soundless Hotel in Khao Kho is truly exceptional from the warm and welcoming staff to the beautifully designed. The serene atmosphere and top-notch amenities made for a peaceful retreat. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisine. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Khao Kho, yet it maintains a tranquil ambiance. Overall, Soundless Hotel offers outstanding service, comfort, and value for money. It’s the best hotel in town and definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to return.✌️

I stayed here for two nights and overall it was very nice. The location is very good, quiet and with a perfect view of the windmills. The room (I had a whole cabin) was in a very good condition and clean. The breakfast was more than enough and very good. You have several choices of which you must select one the evening before. What is also quite nice are both pools. One is not very warm (about 22 to 24°), but the other one is heated to 36°. This is perfect for relaxing in the evening. However the water of both pools is not very clear. Either it must be changed or the filtration system is not working well. Also there is only one! deck chair at one of the pools. So you can not really lie down at the pool. I paid about 5000 Bath per night, which I think is the upper limit for such a place. But it was probably more expensive because I went during the weekend. Be advised: After about 19:30 most restaurants in the area are already closing. So after that time you won't get anything to eat unless you go to 7Eleven.

I don't enjoy giving moderate to bad reviews but feel that I should rectify some of the inaccurate glowing reviews which made us book this resort. Having paid about 16,000 Baht for the room where we stayed for two nights, I had expectations that were not met. I felt that no especial efforts were made. The room where we stayed was reasonably spacious but basic, although with a good view. No handwash was provided which was odd. The breakfast was of poor quality, and quite small (although that was probably its redeeming feature). We both had the salmon bento, but the fish was not very fresh. Also, no coffee was provided, apart from sachets of Nescafe in the room. I was however impressed with the hotel's sending a buggy to meet us after we had gone walking to a local restaurant, to avoid us having to pass some aggressive dogs in the road. Also, the onsen in our room was nice, though not hot like a Japanese onsen. I did complain to the reasonably pleasant manager/owner, but I could tell from his response that he was simply being polite to me when he said they would take my views on board, which was obviously disappointing. I think the hotel could be worth it, as long as you go for a cheaper room where your expectations will be lower.
