Southern Airlines Pearl Airport Hotel

Stay here because have 19hrs layover in baiyun airport with China Southern Airlines, the room are clean and big but the wifi are unstable and slow

Stayed here as part of China Southern’s overnight hotel layover program. Rooms heavily smelt of smoke and were outdated. Staff were polite enough but slow at following their own procedure. Situated very close to the airport which is good for quick transfers, vs taking an hour if staying in the main city area. However, there is not much to see or do nearby.

I guess writing a review for this is not worth it since if you end here it probably isn't by choice but here it is. Room was OK but service was garbage. As you can imagine I didn't choose to come here, I was forced because of a cancelled flight. Employees seem to be teenagers that have no idea what is going on, they are on tiktok (sitting on the front desk) while I was trying to get their attention. You cannot use credit card anywhere and the nearest atm is back in the airport. The included buffet is a joke, 4 trays of cold food that just looks like leftovers from the actual buffet next to it. Flies, bugs everywhere. Getting on the airport shuttle is a battle royale since people in this country apparently have not discovered lines yet.
