Southern Sun Emnotweni

The new look and feel of the Southern Sun has blown me away! It's like walking into a place and entirely new space! Michelle and team, you have outdone yourselves yet again! We love visiting Southern Sun all year round. Always a pleasure being there.

The hospitality at this hotel is truly as good as it gets. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating, always going the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable and well taken care of. You can really feel that they value their guests, which makes all the difference. Breakfast is another highlight, everything is fresh, warm, and thoughtfully prepared. The pancakes are a personal favorite, and I was even able to request a few extras from the kitchen to complement the already amazing spread. The team was more than happy to accommodate every request quickly and with a smile. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the condition of the rooms. They are clearly in need of refurbishment, and while I appreciate that renovations have finally begun, I do think this process should have started much earlier, the signs of aging were quite apparent. That said, between the exceptional service and the care shown by the staff, this hotel still offers a very pleasant and welcoming experience. I'm hopeful that once the refurbishments are complete, it will truly shine in every aspect.

Love the location as the mall is in close proximity. The rooms are lovely just lacking in beverage supplies. I was offered additional stock from reception which also just had limited stock. Had to pay for room service as it was a business trip and you are only allowed to eat from the buffet. Which i think is unreasonable as it means getting dress for dinner.
