From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service until we checked out. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with tons of tasty options to choose from, all fresh and delicious. Our room was super clean, peaceful, and had really comfy beds, so we slept great at night. The whole experience was wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We left feeling completely satisfied with our stay and had nothing to complain about.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 I stay at the Southern Sun Waterfront Hotel in Cape Town every month, and the experience is consistently positive. The staff are always professional, courteous, and genuinely friendly — it’s clear they take pride in what they do. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and quiet, making it easy to unwind or get work done. It’s a great environment whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. My only drawback is that the bar and room service close at 23:00. After that, you’re left with external options like Uber Eats, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially after a long day. That said, the overall experience is still excellent, and I’d confidently recommend this hotel. Solid 4 out of 5 stars!
The rooms were always cold no matter what we changed the temperature to. Had to call twice to get them to fix it. Here for 4 nights & one day no towels or tissues in the room. There is only 1 sink & on towel rack by the sink. Had to hang another towel on the tub rack. There is only 1 closet & no drawers to put clothes. No grab bar in the tub or shower. Even non handicapped rooms should have some where to hold onto. This was a standard room. Don’t need a tub. Showers were nice & hot. Refrigerator in room with bottled water. Breakfast buffet was good. Restaurant is very good. When checking in nobody told us checkout time, facilities like gym or pool There is no book in the room to find out the information either. There is a shuttle to the waterfront that runs frequently. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
