Sovereign Gold Coast

We stayed in room 904 for one night. The room was spacious and well laid out, clean and cleverly decorated. We had no issues with the hotel's underground parking availability (though the height clearance is only 1.9m so it was a bit tight for our vehicle). Location was perfect for our needs, and only a short walk to the beach. Mid-week prices were very competitive. We would be happy to book here again in future based on this experience.

Nice enough hotel, zero food, beverages available. Only restaurant on site is open 2 nights a week. A coffee cart would be a good idea to get snacks/ beverages for a lazy day around the pool. Also exceptionally loud. My first room faced the highway so was 24/7 noise, too loud to have the door open and no windows in room, so airless. Upgraded to a room on the other side. Much better. Make sure room is on quiet side. Have to pay a $35 fee for a room tidy, so no daily towel change etc. It was nice enough but a bit soulless!!

This is not a hotel. It’s more of a self-service apartment, so don’t expect full hotel services. They charge extra for room cleaning, which is not available on Saturdays and Sundays, and even for additional towels. The kettle in our room was rusty, dusty, and still had dirty water inside. It was unhygienic and clearly not cleaned properly. The bathroom amenities were very limited. The shampoo and soap provided were extremely small and barely enough for one use. The gym was also very basic and lacked essential equipment. There wasn’t even a treadmill. The staff were well-presented and friendly, but please note that there is no 24-hour reception. If you arrive late, you’ll be charged an additional fee, which is not made clear at the time of booking. Overall, the location is decent, but for the price, I expected better quality and service.
