Sovrana Hotel & SPA

I stayed at the Sovrana for a work trip and had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. From the very kind and helpful folks at the front desk to the friendly and welcoming breakfast staff, I felt completely at home and well taken care of. One staff member even offered me the use of his personal umbrella during a rain storm, and there was no issue scheduling a later check-out so I could prepare for trip home with time. The breakfast had so many healthy and delicious options - I was quite impressed. My room was very clean and comfortable, and even included a small balcony. The hotel is near the beach, but set back on a small side street so there is virtually no traffic noise. I highly recommend and would absolutely return :)

I have two words to briefly describe Sovrana Hotel: Excellent service Weeks ahead of my stay I asked for a favour and the hotel staff fulfilled my request. I also changed my booking several times as I planned a long trip with Rimini being my last destination and the staff always accomodated my needs. Sovrana Hotel is situated a stone throw away from the promenade of Rimini where you can take nice walks especially in the evening. Bus 11 from Rimini train station takes you to the bus stop closest to the hotel which is 13. Derna in around 10 minutes. I found the location to be very convenient. The same bus takes you to the historic center of Rimini. I arrived a couple of hours before check in time however the staff still allowed me to access the room. The room I had was a single room with a balcony. The room was very quiet and the only noise I heard was from some noisy guests coming from the landing area but that was just very brief. The room had shutters which blocked almost all the natural light. Being sensitive to light I really appreciated this because it allowed me to sleep really well. Moreover, the bed was really comfortable espscially the pillows. There are two things I didn't like about the room. The blanket had a "papery" feel, I don't know how to desribe it but most likely it is the cover. Secondly, the bathroom felt cramped especially because the door touched the sink and I had to go out and come in sideways. I suggest a redesign of the bathroom. A walk-in shower and a smaller sink. The breakfast was excellent especially the savoury stuff including omelettes and piadinas. I appreciated the fact that the breakfast is not self-service to limit food waste but also for hygienic reasons. Unfortunately some guests did not understand this and I saw a guest taking a croissant with her bare hands. I do suggest that the hotel puts every food item behind a barrier. Lastly, I need to mention the massage therapist. I had booked a watsu, which is a massage while in the water, to try something new. The massage therapist, whom I unfortunately didn't catch her name well, was really gentle to make sure I was floating and feeling comfortable throughout the massage. I also appreciated the nice surprise I was offered and during the 20 minute extra massage the therapist's hands worked wonders especially on my neck and back. If I will ever return to Rimini I would choose this hotel again. Maybe next time I will focus on spending time at the hotel to relax. My big thanks goes to the hotel staff, again especially the massage therapist. You are the best!

Everything was impecable. The hotel is very accomodating and beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, the staff was amazing. The hotel is also very close to the private beach (which you have to pay for btw) and also to the best restaurant I've tried here (Bounty). Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definetly come again.
