Ok. Floor numbering very chaotic. Our room got flooded overnight. There was a huge hole in the wall.
Our small room was fairly nice (although the only window was into small courtyard). Unfortunately, it was rather noisy, we could hear someone nearby playing their 80s hits until late night. The breakfast was just average, not much choice and some of the warm food (fried eggs, sausages) was completely cold. Several instruction leaflets thoughout this Czech hotel were ONLY IN RUSSIAN (not in Czech or English) which I found a little bit insulting. The reception was often completely empty, without any staff. They advertise that Internet is available in all rooms. In our room, we only had Wi-Fi (not LAN socket) and it was basically unusable. When I managed to connect at all, uploading one 5MB photo to cloud took several minutes. Streaming any sort of video was completely out of question. At the reception, they told us that "this is normal because they are fully booked". It's a passable establishment but it's certainly not what I'd call "FOUR-STAR HOTEL" (which they call themselves).
Our intention was a pet-friendly holiday, but this stay was a sheer disappointment marred by a litany of severe issues. From the get-go, our dog became a problem. What was advertised clashed dramatically with the whims of Administrator Galina, who, three days into our stay, callously barred us and our dog from the restaurant, thrusting us into an unwelcome scenario. Efforts to reach the hotel manager proved futile, exacerbating an already tangled situation. Days later, a meeting with the manager yielded empty promises and apologies, falsely convincing us the conflict had been resolved. However, on our subsequent visit, we were rudely evicted from the restaurant, disgracefully citing space insufficiency for a family of five. Clueless and mistreated, we struggled to comprehend what our payment had actually secured. During dinner, we were blatantly disregarded, receiving minimal service. The service was a train wreck: dismal rooms riddled with flaws and filth, subpar fare unfit for consumption in the restaurant, and dubious facilities casting doubt on their quality. The sauna demanded payment after a couple of uses and was neglected. Staff conduct was appalling: unfriendly, flouting basic hygiene, dressed inappropriately, frequently absent, or unapproachable. Chaos reigned in unmanned reception areas and throughout the service domain. The staff's unprofessional, passive-aggressive responses to complaints were deeply troubling. The entire team passed the buck, contradicting each other. This abysmal experience didn't just disappoint – it destroyed our Christmas, marred the birthday celebration of one of our family members, and nearly ruined our New Year's Eve. Their conduct was so appalling that we had no choice but to check out. I question who bestowed upon them the alleged 4-star status they've supposedly held for 25 years. They proudly claimed an impeccable record with no previous issues reported by guests, which I find highly dubious. Post-experience, we stumbled upon numerous scathing reviews on Google, corroborating our dismal stay. We even discovered another family who had prematurely departed. This traumatizing ordeal goes down as the worst vacation experience ever. The emotional toll inflicted by their incompetence and callousness is beyond measure.
