1940's Agatha Christie meets modern. The public areas are elegantly decorated in 1920's style. The dinning room and conference room have lofty ceilings and chandeliers, whilst the guest rooms and hallways are up-to-date modern. With a variety of original artworks on the walls. My room even had a built in sauna. Front facing rooms have a sea view and some have balconies. Be aware there is a short uphill to the car park in front of the hotel .

great room, we changed to one with a balcony and it got even better, view over the whole Genua bay. bit of a walk to the hotel but it was definitely worth it. the most of the personell really good, did there best although some not to good in english. the bartender, luca, was really friendly, loved our late evening takes. breakfast really good, nothing to complain about. so, overall, one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time, kind regards

Avoid at all costs! First note: This is a 2 star, not 4 star.... Good note: The hotel is historical, which is lovely and well located. Realistically: there are a number of 'real' 4 stars nearby that are a MUCH BETTER choice-they have pools, clean rooms, and are not falling apart! Our room had a bad smell, the pillows were old and unusable, the bathroom needed help: the towel rack was falling off the wall and the light randomly worked. Most importantly the rooms are NOT SOUNDPROOF at all! The breakfast was barely edible (avoid and go out!) and the 'parking' is chaos. Someone boxed us in and went out for the day and was apparently uncontactable so when we went to leave, the hotel staff shrugged and said they could do nothing. This is a sad description of a hotel let alone a 4 star-save yourself and book anywhere else!
