Spark by Hilton Wuppertal City Centre

There was an issue with the heating in May. But the receptionist was really exceptional and searched every available room to find one which was warm. And all this in the middle of the night. And told me to just move what i needed into the new room and leave the rest until the morning. Incredible service. The hotel is right next to the station. Really easy to find despite some posts saying the contrary. And there is a parking linked to the hotel by lift.

🍝 - Food: 3/5 🛎️ - Service 4/5 📍 - Location & atmosphere 4/5 If you need to spend a few nights in the city of the Schwebebahn, then the Flemings Hotel is a good choice for business trips. It is just a few steps from the central train station and its taxi hub, making the city center easily accessible on foot. The automated check-in and check-out processes were quick and efficient. The hotel and the rooms are freshly renovated, and I appreciated the thoughtful design and artwork in the interior. The room was practical and met the needs of a business traveller. The breakfast was ordinary; I didn't have a memorable experience, but everything tasted fresh, and the quality of the ingredients was acceptable. I was pleasantly surprised to find a sauna open until 11 p.m., although I didn't have the chance to use it, so I can't comment on its quality. There is also a tiny self-service grocery store in the lobby for munchies.

Considering it's right next to it, it's a bit of a magical mystery tour getting to the hotel from the main train station (don't leave station, head to the bus area, find the "hidden" bridge near stop 5). Don't understand why the check in is automated and you have to put in all the information you gave when you made the booking. Plus, there's lovely reception staff there. Lovely. People not machines, please.
