Sphendon Hotel

Hotel is bit dated and old, but at the end of the day all you want is place to sleep. Great location with all main attractions within walking distance. Beds were comfy. I wish there was more power outlets and showers could be proper bleached and new silicon lay down. Other then that if you are on the budget it's good spot.

The worst hotel I've stayed at, dirty and disgusting. Shower is mouldy and it feels like I'd be better off not talking one. You can't even sit on the toilet because there's no space for your leg on one side, blocked by the shower wall. Rotting door frame in the bathroom that creates a terrible smell. The shower door is too small and so water splashes out, leading to that smell. Air conditioner doesn't work. Room is ultra small, barely fits me and my 1 checked bag. Terrible hotel, go anywhere else.

Terrible experience. We arrived late at night and were told there was no internet, so the receptionist “couldn’t” find our room, even though we prepaid everything weeks earlier. He tried to move us into a disgusting, moldy room on the top floor — it smelled like sewage! When we insisted that we could share our mobile internet, he refused and made excuses. In reality, they had overbooked the hotel and were lying to us. Then, out of nowhere, another man came and tried to convince us to stay with him for the night “for free.” It felt super shady and dangerous, especially for two women traveling alone. We have stayed in many countries around the world, and this was by far the scariest situation we have ever faced. It honestly felt like some human trafficking attempt. The manager didn’t even care when we reported it the next morning — she was aggressive and blamed us! Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is unsafe, dirty, untrustworthy, and completely unprofessional.
