Spice Island Hotel & Resort

Perfect hotel! This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and really clean. The garden and pool are well-maintained. We received drinking water in our room twice a day. The staff is super friendly and the food was truly delicious! Glory from the spa gives the best massages. Definitely would recommend!

Looking for a hotel with heart and soul - we found it - Spice Island. Having suffered a complete disaster from a fire last year (see google image) they have rebuilt the structures, the team and most importantly, its character. Carlos, one of the owners, was onsite and at our disposal to help our needs. Our rooms - kept clean and tidy by Judith. Outstanding wait staff in the restaurant and Jetty bar, including Constantine and Xena. And the front desk, led by Veronica, handled everything. Walking south - loads of other places to see. However, none had the property or space like Spice Island. We will definitely be back - and would strongly recommend this hotel and its team to others.

Spice Island Hotel and Resort Review The hotel is not located where the sea is the most beautiful. It’s clear that the hotel is currently undergoing modernization. The common areas are very nice and well-maintained. During high tide, it’s great to visit the bar by the pier and take a swim there. The food is very good, and the staff are friendly. It’s important to know that there are two types of rooms: some older, somewhat worn rooms, and others that have been renovated. So be careful when booking. The older rooms vary a lot—some are acceptable, but others are quite bad, with a strong musty odor. The renovated rooms are very beautiful. However, you only get one sheet to sleep under. The air conditioning works well, and the shower has good pressure, but I personally had no hot water. Not all rooms had this problem, but it couldn’t be fixed during my stay. Also, the toilet leaked onto the floor, the roof leaked when it rained, and paint dripped onto my belongings. All these issues seriously affected my experience. At this time, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are better options available.
