Our stay at Spice Village Thekkaddy has been nothing short of magical. Nestled between dense, serene spice gardens of thekaddy truly makes this resort a peaceful retreat that is beautifully harmonized by its surroundings. Earthy charm, eco concious ethos, impeccable service and old world vibe truly enhances the living experience of the guests. Sustainability and eco consciousness is truly practiced at this place. Let me break it down further. Location - Located very close to center of Kumily village and major attractions are within 10 to 15 mins drive from the resort which makes the access very convenient and time efficient. I have already mentioned the serene environment inside the resort. Uploaded few pics for the review but they don't do justice to the actual vibe of the place. You have to experience it. Rooms - We had booked the Deluxe Cottage with Private garden. Cottages are well equipped with truly old world charm and feels like you have been transported in time. Layout is spacious and well appointed. Note that there are no TVs in the rooms - (+ve feature). Wifi is a bit hit and miss. They only allow 3 devices to be connected at any time which can be annoying. But the point of this resort is to cut off from your .modern day life and enjoy the nature. Staff and Service - Moment we entered the resort we were greeted by the front office staff with a traditional welcome. I really loved the handmade locket made my Mr. Francis and his family (game rooms). All staff are very good and courteous but have to make special mention of Mr. Francis- Games room incharge, he engages adults as well as kids with all the board games and other recreational activities in the resort. Resort also keeps you busy with so many of in-house complimentary activities such as Pepper vine, Naturalist talk, paper recycling session, introduction to Indian spices etc. In conclusion, our stay at Spice Village thekkady has been one of our best stays anywhere. Wish we had planned better and spent few more nights here. Definitely recommended for your stay if you are in Thekkady. A feedback for the restaurant timings - it would be good if they open the restaurant a bit early in the evening maybe by 630 pm or 7 pm to have early dinner.

I stayed here with my family for 3 days and it was an out of the world experience. We have never experienced anything like this ever before or after. This was peak hospitality. Food, service, cleanliness, property, everything was 5 star. Hope it stays like this forever.
