Before this hotel, I stayed at another hotel (also 4 stars) which did not satisfy me. I won't name names, because that's not what it's about... Here, at Splendid, I felt all 4 stars to the full: every detail is perfect, spacious rooms, impeccably clean, the quality of the spa part is impeccable (even the cold water machine - always with disposable cups - is ideal for saunas). Another big plus is QUIET! The human quality is special: staff always present, but not intrusive or intrusive. Finally, the breakfast: superb, varied for all faces or all eaters 😊 In the end, I had a cheaper room, on the top floor. Although they write that it overlooks the city/street, the sea was very beautiful (both in the evening and in the morning)
A large hotel, in the center of the Mamaia resort, about 12 minutes by car from Constanta, but close to the beach in Mamaia, as well as restaurants and a non-stop shop 8-10 minutes away on foot. We recommend the room facing the lake, it is quieter than facing the street. I had the room facing the lake, the balcony is large, with 2 chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable, the pillows not so much, but there were extra pillows in the closet and I think you can ask for more if needed. The TV has many channels, but it is not Smart. When we were there (in April), the air conditioning was not working, but we understood that the heat had just stopped. I appreciated the mini-bar as it was not noisy. The breakfast was good, varied, the coffee from the right machine, you can also order from the espresso machine, with extra payment. There are enough parking spaces, but I think that in certain periods the parking lot becomes too small. Street parking costs 10 lei/day, an ok price if needed. Have fun!
The restaurant has an excruciating service, with very rude staff, and the food is a disgrace for a 4 star hotel. The rooms are ok, the reception was nice, and Elena from the massage is wonderful. Do something about the restaurant, it's a shame about the location.
