Splendid Hotel Taormina

Firstly I would like to thank the staff, they were all amazing. Unfortunately, we needed assistance shortly after arriving and they couldn’t do enough to help. Very much appreciated. Great location, few minutes walk to the main area. Nice pool with a bar, doesn’t get overly crowded. Views are amazing. Breakfast is good, nice selection. Restaurant was as good, maybe better than some local restaurants. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

It’s a good hotel – clean, with attentive staff and a delicious, varied breakfast. The location is excellent. There's also a nice, but small, pool. They also have two beach clubs, both of which are great – with good sunbeds, a nice beach, transportation, and everything you need.

Not a 4 star hotel, more like 3. But it is a decent hotel for the price I paid (€1,000 for 8 nights). Pros: -Excellent location, you can walk into the center of Taormina in 2 mins. -Amazing panoramic view of the sea and hills. -Comfy bed. -Clean rooms. -Friendly staff. Cons: -Not enough sun loungers and parasols for guests, and there is no policy to stop selfish people getting up at 6am to reserve them with their towels. -Staff do nothing about screaming kids running around and doing “bombs” in the pool splashing everyone. -Small rooms. -Rooms lack amenities like an iron, coffee machine etc. -Breakfast is bad, very unripe fruit, horrible chemically tasting fruit juice, and cake? Overall, for the same price or less I would consider staying again, but if the prices were to go up I wouldn’t.
