Sporthotel Olympia

New hotel so very clean and well presented. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Rooms were comfortable but beds quite low for getting in and out - and no air con so got very warm. Shower and bathroom are small, the tiled floor was VERY slippery when wet. Breakfast was delicious! Great views from front of hotel rooms with balconies. Wellness suite and fitness room on site. Was definitely a good stay with added bonus of local cafe within 5 mins walk definately not to be missed for drinks, cake and ice-cream!

As I have visited quite few 4-star hotels in alps ski resorts, seems (as for approach to visitors goes) this one is not in the 4* league quite yet. Have stayed in Feb.in one of the 3 apartment suites they have. Cleanliness and rooms were on good level albeit missing small details for comfort (like hangers for towels etc..) With approach to "Guest"/visitor...had quite different - negative experience: For the owner, it's obviously all just about money there . "Guests" (real or imaginary) are just legal money source. Parking on their hotel parking space caused damage to my car (ice on the road - which they did not take care about) they gave me 3 hrs. runaround with the police (testing me on alcohol and drugs, checking ALL possible documents I had as a driver etc.) which they called on me right away (I wasn't even sitting in the care when the damage happen) - this was Saturday evening during supper time. After they wasted my time they said it's not their problem, nobody asked me to park at their parking place/spot. My meal got cold, so did my mood. thank you but NO ... this "4-star" hotel is not for 4* guests... I wouldn't care if they just say "sorry this is not our problem" (guess they don't have proper insurance) and not call police on me (was not driving but could have had some beers already).

Hotel is clean and nice. And we enjoyed a good food. However, the customer service you got in other accomodations around is on a different level. We went for a bike ride after the checkout and even though the parking lot was empty, we couldn't stay for extra 3 hours. I would expect much better service from a hotel this category.
