We recently stayed at the St Croix Inn as my daughter got married at The Atrium in Solon Springs. The staff and service was amazing, such nice people. The location is gorgeous right on the lake and they allowed my daughter's dogs to stay with us too. The rooms each had a microwave and mini fridge - the only thing I would say it the sinks, mirrors and bathtubs could be updated but the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Thanks so much for a great weekend! A Simmons
Absolute perfect, peaceful location on Upper St. Croix. Our Lakeside-facing room was a 3-day retreat destination for us after a busy summer. The staff is the best (go, Megan!) and the setting is stellar. The place is a little on the shabby side with decks needing paint, screen door needing replacing, bathroom sinks cracked, floor (a nice one!) needing a good scrubbing, breakfast area dark and crowded. But the bed was great, linens fresh, furniture some of the best we've experienced in any motel. The grounds are being worked on, to their credit. It's a big job running a private resort! But the amenities, especially for children, can't be beat. The bar and deck are fun and inviting, the little deck right on the lake is wonderful, and the loons, eagles and views from sunup to sundown are breathtaking. Bonus: The Little Gift House coffee shop, with homemade bakery each day and a charming deck was just a short walk away. It was a great experience for two active, travel-weary 80-year-olds. Thanks to everyone at St Croix Inn!
The rooms dusty, moldy, stinky. The beds were disgusting. Ordered pizza and it took 1.5 hour's. Also ordered an appetizer and she forgot. Both of which already made and just needed to be cooked. Only one server. Sat at a table for 15 mins and didn't come and take our order. She did give us the appetizer for free for bad service. But the place was gross. The bonfire wasn't going, pavilion doesn't have lights to go sit and enjoy at night. No outside pool like stated online. Their beach was out so we had to go drive to one next door which wasn't good either. Hiking trails aren't marked so couldn't find them. Picture's make it look nicer then it really is. And when I booked and had a room for a pet they put you upstairs not downstairs like they should have. No elevator. I'm disabled and it was very hard for me to go up and down the stairs. Bugs all over. The building no sprayed down with bug repellent. The building needs major remodeling and updating.
