Luxury B&B near the North Yorkshire coast. Each room is themed - we had the Reykjavik room, which I believe was converted from a barn. Comfortable bed, sofa and an enormous bathroom with a very large whirlpool bath. Breakfast was a continental buffet, which is taken in the main house or at outside tables when the weather is good. There are 2 pubs and a fish and chips shop within walking distance for dinner. Picturesque bays are a short drive or a walk away - the nearest about 1.5 miles. Minor issues - no shaving socket in our room and no lighting above mirrors, meaning I couldn't see well when shaving. Covers on fruit at breakfast would protect it from the wasps. Afternoon checkin needs planning for if you're travelling a distance or working the day of arrival. These are very minor things though. This is luxury rural accommodation in a lovely area and while not cheap, you get a lot more bang for your buck than in nearby Whitby, so good value. Recommended.
Absolutely fantastic hotel to stay, we stayed in the Venice room for my birthday. All the staff are lovely and helpful The manager is a credit to the company and so was the lady serving breakfast in the morning. The room was extremely clean, tge jacuzzi bath is awsome and the bed extremely comfortable! Will definitely be staying again thank you guys 😊
Stayed for one night in early July 2025. My wife and I stayed in the Cairo suite which was absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. We were greeted by the very friendly Kerry who had earlier that day sent me a text message to let us know that our room was available earlier than expected so we took the option to arrive earlier than planned. The room included a comfortable 4-poster bed, seating area, storage space, tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge, and an amazing jacuzzi bath with his and her sinks. The complex itself was easy to find and is located in the quiet, pretty village of Hinderwell. After a restful sleep, we took advantage of the continental breakfast which was a great start to the day. There was an excellent selection of hot drinks, toast, crumpets, pancakes, cereals, yoghurts, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel for a couples stay. We will be back!
