This Hotel is beautiful and IT IS WORTHY OF PROFESSIONALS WHO CAN APPRECIATE THE OWNERS , WHERE IT IS LOCATED AND THE PATRONS WHO SUPPORT IT. THIS IS NOT, NOT, HILTON TAPESTRY. The Hilton is run by professionals wherever you go.I experienced this hotel when Hilton was a part of St. James Hotel. All hotels just like anything else will hit and miss sometimes. But they do not miss every time. Train the people how to take care of people. Train them. Because no one else has. And make this hotel a gold standard please. It has a history and it is worthy, worthy.
We were at the St. James Hotel last week and updated news indicates they are closed and will reopen under new management. I guess that's a good thing. The venue is very historic and important to the Selma community. We were there for lunch. The food was OK but the service was unorganized which made it tough to pay the higher prices being charged.
What a view!! Alabama river with the famous, historical, Edmond Pettus bridge right there! My room had a balcony, but not a private balcony. Restaurant & bar located inside.
