St. Palace hotel

Gorgeous hotel in a great location with very pleasant staff. I've stayed at many hotels and this definitely ranks higher than many of the more expensive (and 5-star) ones. The staff helped us get a room despite arriving early, it was in pristine condition, and housekeeping respected our special request of not having certain medical supplies touched. The AC also worked perfectly and the thermostat adjusted the room temperature quickly. The noise insulation seems to be excellent; I didn't hear a thing throughout our stay. A young lady at the desk kindly gave us a tip for a village to travel to for Latvian pie, which turned out to be a great experience as well. 6/5!

Location is excellent, the reception service as well. BUT we received a great disappointment with breakfast, it is served in a restaurant next door…they make you live to prepare lunch… they don’t even let you finish in your table and ask you to go with your things at the room (that is small for this kind of hotel). Definitely not a 4 star hotel!

Despite a great location and impressive architecture, our breakfast experience was utterly ruined. We were told to leave and finish our meal in our room a shocking 15 minutes before closing. It's truly unacceptable for any reputable hotel to order guests to stop eating while they're still at their table. Furthermore, the rooms themselves were quite small, which added to our discomfort. The behavior of the lady from the restaurant was also a major issue; she was unpleasant and incredibly unkind. For a 4-star hotel, this lack of basic respect and flexibility, especially regarding breakfast hours, is appalling. We felt there was no tolerance for guests' needs.
