It's the perfect mix of old and modern. The exterior is typical Roma but inside has the comfort and vibe of a modern hotel. Toiletries, towels are provided and you can put out a sign to request for housekeeping if you want. The place is situated a minute away from the Basilica and close to restaurants, souvenir shops, gelateria and bars. Amenities are awesome - clean, spacious and functioning. Despite the streets outside being busy with lots of people passing by, inside our room it is quiet hence we got to rest. Instructions on how to get inside our rooms are clear and easy to follow. But take note that it has no elevator thus you must carry your luggage into your room so make sure you pack light 🙂 All in all, it's great. Would definitely recommend.
It was a very nice stay in this neighborhood where the manor is. You can find a bit of everything in the proximity. There are good restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets. And also, you are just 3 minutes away from the piazza Di san pietro. Regarding the room, it was comfortable but definitely not on Fridays. Since our room was facing the street and the windows were not insulated, we could hear every clack and screech from the streets. Nevertheless, Aline was very nice, friendly and always available.
This place was ok, but not the best. Probably better off staying at the hotel next door or in a nearby street. Air conditioning is very loud at night and the windows are very thin meaning you can hear the street very clearly all the time. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. The shower has a very slow draining drain, and due to the poor layout of the bathroom and no door on the shower, the water goes everywhere and almost floods half of the bathroom as the floor is just flat and there nothing to stop the water coming out. Was told that I could bank transfer the city tax at the end of my stay, however, quite literally 3 minutes before I left, the lady came to me saying I cannot bank transfer, I have to pay with cash. I did not have any cash on me, as I was going to bank transfer, this was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. I had to borrow cash off of someone else then bank transfer them. Overall, not great.
