Stanhope Hotel Brussels by Thon Hotels

My review of the hotel: the staff is kind and respectful! Our room was luxurious. We felt luxurious! The room had everything for a perfect vacation! We also visited the sauna in the hotel, we were very satisfied! If we go to Brussels again, we will only stay at this hotel!

Beautiful hotel situated right near the Royal Palace. Very walkable to city center. I loved that they have noon check in and 1 pm check out. Were given a box of Neuhaus chocolates during our honeymoon stay. Had a spacious room.

17-18 of July, 2 Club Rooms and 1 single room. I booked a Club Room, which was supposed to come with either one large bed or two single beds (according to the hotel’s official website). Instead, the room had one large bed and a sofa bed. For two adults, who wants to sleep on a sofa bed? It’s clearly less comfortable with a thinner mattress. This was not the room I paid for. To make it worse, the front desk even told me during check-in that Club Rooms only come with one large bed — which completely contradicts the online description. That’s just unacceptable. Also, because my vehicle was too tall for the hotel’s garage, I was told to park at another hotel in the same group. That parking garage requires a keycard to access the elevator, but the staff failed to tell me this. After parking, I found myself locked inside with no way out — all exits were closed and I had no keycard. I ended up stuck in the empty garage for over 20 minutes until an employee showed up and helped me get out. Even the parking staff were confused why I wasn’t given any instructions. I spent nearly an hour just trying to park. These two issues seriously ruined my stay and made me question the overall quality of this hotel. Very disappointing experience in Brussels.
